Villager booked for brewing/selling illicit liquor

NAKODAR 12 SEPTEMBER 

The Mehat Pur police have booked a villager on charge of brewing and selling illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer Davindar Singh said that 15 bottles of hooch and 225 liters of Lahann (raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from the accused identified as Gurbaksh Singh resident Rai Pur Arayeen Mand village who managed to flee from the spot.

A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
