Five booked for assaulting co-villager

NAKODAR 24 AUGUST 

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked five e villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Balveer, Gaurav, Akashdeep, Ramandeep, and Tarsem Singh, residents of Nur Pur Chatha village.

Som Datt, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him and injured him on August 22.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2),(voluntarily causing hurt),126(2)( wrongful restraint), 351(1) (criminal intimidation), 324(mischief), and 190(unlawful assembly   of the BNS has been registered against the accused.

IO said a cross-case has been registered and booked four members of the complainant family.
