Migrant miscreant arrested for cheating

The Nakodar City Police have arrested a migrant miscreant on the charge of cheating.

Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused has been identified as Surindar Kumar, son of Ram Kumar a resident of Hissar district, Haryana.

Rannuka wife of Paramjit Singh a resident of Sharak Pur village, complained to the police that the accused copied her ATM and prepared a duplicate and withdrew Rs 25000 from her bank account.

IO said that the accused was arrested during interrogation and recovered from his possession Rs 25000 and 14 ATM cards of different banks were recovered from his possession. His motorcycle without registration was impounded, and a case under section 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and his accomplice Kalu of Hissar in Haryana, who is absconding
