Mother-son duo arrested for attempt to encroach land

SHAHKOT 11 OCTOBER 

The Shahkot police have arrested a mother-son duo for an attempt to encroach on land.

Investigating Officer (IO) Parjindar Kaur said that the accused have been identified as Balwindar Kaur wife of Gurdeep Singh a resident of Bajwa Kalan village and her son Manjindar Singh.

Bachan Singh, a resident of Bajwa Kalan village, had complained to the police that the accused and their unidentified accomplices tried to encroach on his land

IO aid that a case under sections 329(3) (criminal trespass) 62(attempt to commit offence punishable with life imprisonment or other )3(5) (committing crime with common intention) and 324(4) (mischief) of the BNS was registered against the accused on November 22, 2025
