Unidentified miscreants booked for robbery with attempt to cause death

The Shahkot police have booked unidentified miscreants on charges of robbery with attempt to cause death.

Investigating Officer (IO) Angrej Singh said a villager was driving his motorcycle and his relative, woman Kulwindar Kaur, wife of Balwant Singh, a resident of Shamsha Bad village under Nurmahal police station, was pillion riding when unidentified miscreants stopped the motorcycle by inserting an iron rod in a wheel of the motorcycle. Both riders fell down and were seriously injured, and the accused snatched the earrings of Kulwindar Kaur, who succumbed to her injuries.

IO said a case under sections 311 (robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 309(6) (robbery voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) of the BNS has been registered against unidentified miscreants.

IO said Massa Singh a resident of near the Indian Oil Pump, Nakodar Road Malsian has reported the incident to the police.
