Unidentified miscreants booked for duping Shahkot man of Rs 5.49 Lakhs

The Cyber Crime Police Station of Jalandhar (rural) police have booked unidentified miscreants on the charge of duping a Shahkot man of Rs 5.49 Lakh.

 

Gurbachan Singh   a resident of Mian Wal Arian village complained to the police that the accused duped him online of Rs. 5.49 Lakhs.

 

Investigating Officer Inspector Harbeer Singh said a case under sections 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 319(2) (cheating by personation) of the BNS and section 66 -D of the IT Act has been registered against the unidentified accused after an inquiry
