Couple among three booked outraging modesty of woman

The Bilga police have booked three villagers including a couple on charge of outraging modesty of a woman.

Investigating Officer (IO) Charanjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Harjit Singh son of Santokh Singh a resident of Talwann village his wife Rajwindar Kaur and Daljit Singh of the same village.

Manjit Kaur a resident of Nawan Shehar and residing at Talwann village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and assaulted and outraged her modesty and threatened her.

IO said a case under sections 79 (words, gestures and acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman). 115(2) (voluntary causing hurt) 126(2) (wrongful restraint)351(3) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
