Unidentified miscreants booked for duping women of Rs 1.13 Lakh

The Cyber Crime Police Station of Jalandhar (rural) police has booked unidentified miscreants on the charge of duping a woman of Rs 1.13 Lakh.

Balveer Kaur, wife of Sukhwindar Singh   a resident of Bhullar Kadian village under Bilga police station, complained to the police that the accused threatened her and duped her online, sending Rs. 113,000.

Investigating Officer Inspector Harveer Singh said a case under sections 318(4)( cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 319(2) (cheating by personation), 308(extortion) of the BNS and section 66 -D of the IT Act has been registered against the accused after an inquiry
