Villager booked for raping minor girl

 The Lohian Khas police have booked a villager on the charge of raping a minor girl.

The investigating officer (IO) and in-charge Shahkot Women’s cell Inspector Seema said that the accused has been identified as Harjindar Singh alias Sheela son of Raj Kumar a resident of Badshah Pur village

The mother of the victim complained to the police that the accused barged into her house when she was out for work and repeatedly raped her minor daughter and threatened to keep her mouth shut.

IO said that a case under section 64(rape) of the BNS and section 6 of the POCSO Act has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to nab him.
