Amritsar tipper driver detained for investigation in accident case

NAKODAR 21 AUGUST 

The Mehat Pur police have detained an Amritsar tipper driver for causing death by negligence.

Investigating Officer (IO) Davindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurjant Singh son of Baldev Singh a resident of Guno Wal village under Jandiala Guru police station, Amritsar.

Sukhbir Kaur, wife of the deceased Parmindar Singh alias Pindar, a resident of Malowal Road, Mehat Pur, has complained to the police that the accused was driving his tipper negligently and fast and hit her husband standing on the roadside, and killed him on the spot.

IO said a case under sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 286(negligent conduct with respect to poisonous substance) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
