Villager booked for selling illicit liquor

SHAHKOT 23 JUNE 

 The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.

The investigating officer (IO) Major Singh said that the accused has been identified as Balwindar Singh a resident of Sohal Jagir village and 25 bottles of hooch were recovered from his possession; he managed to flee from the spot.

A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
