Six villagers booked for assaulting co-villager

The Lohian Khas police have booked six villagers   on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Harwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Tarsem Singh his son Amrit Pal Singh, Balveer Singh, his brother Dilbar Singh and his son Jaspreet Singh and Lakhwindar Singh all resident of Jania Chahal village.

Gurmukh Singh, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused attacked him with weapons and injured and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2)118(2) , (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) ,351(2) (criminal intimidation) and191(2) ,190(rioting) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
