Two farmers booked for burning paddy stubble

The Lohian Khas police have booked two farmers on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.

Investigating Officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Indarjit Singh, son of Fakir Singh a resident of Khosa village, and his brother Amarjit Singh.

IO said sub divisional magistrate (SDM) has ordered to register a case against the accused and nodal officer panchayat secretary and area patwari have sent their reports against the accused who had set fire to their paddy stubble fields, violated government orders in this regard, and polluted the atmosphere.

IO said a case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
