Two robbers arrested for murder of Nurmahal woman

The Shahkot police have arrested two robbers on charges of murdering a woman while snatching her earrings.

Station House Officer (SHO Sukhwindar Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi son of Gurmej Singh, a resident of Mohalla Samra Mehat Pur town, and Rajveer Singh alias Munshi, son of Surindar Singh a resident of Mohalla Shah Pur Mehet Pur.

SHO said that the accused has murdered Kulwindar Kaur, wife of Balwant Singh a resident of Shamsha Bad village under Nurmahal police station, while snatching her earrings on the National Highway near Malsian village on October 3.

SHO said a case under sections103 (murder), 311 (robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 309(6) (robbery voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
