The Nurmahal police have booked unidentified
Avtar Singh a resident of Shamsha Bad village complained to the police that two unidentified motorcycle borne miscreants fired at his gate on September 24 night and he received a WhatsApp call on his mobile next morning that they will harm his son Lovpreet Singh as they have complete information about him
Investigating Officer Sukhwindar Singh said a case under section 308(2) (extortion), 351(3) (criminal intimidation of the BNS and 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against unidentified accused.
Increasing activities of gangsters have created a sense of insecurity among residents and put a question mark on police functioning.
