Nine miscreants booked for murder bid

The Shahkot police have booked nine miscreants on the charge of attempt to murder.

Investigating Officer (IO) Baljit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Harjindar Singh son of Thakar Singh a resident of Dane Wal village his two sons Sujit Singh and Nihang Jassa Singh, Harman Preet Singh, Gurjot Singh, Jaswant Singh ,Himmat Singh, Jagtar Singh, and Akash Deep Singh all residents of Dane Wal village.

Surjit Singh, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused attacked his brother Rannjit Singh and Amandeep Singh with sharp-edged weapons, injuring him seriously and threatening him with dire consequences.

IO said a case under sections109(attempt to murder), 131(assault or criminal force )115(2) 118(1)(voluntary causing grievous hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) )351(3) (criminal intimidation) 352(intentional insult with intention to provoke breach of the peace) 191(3) 190 (rioting and unlawful assembly of the BNS and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
