Mitha Pur resident arrested for illegal mining .

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a person on charges of illegal mining

Station House Officer (SHO) Palwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gera, son of Partap Singh, resident of Mitha Pur village, backside of Government School, under Division no 7, Jalandhar.

Ajay Kumar, Mining Inspector Nakodar, complained to the police that the accused was indulging in illegal mining in Chak Vehndal village mining site, and 2 pork line machines, a tractor leveller, and 1JBC machine were recovered from the site.

  SHO said two cases 21 Mining and Minerals Act and Section 303 (theft) of the BNS have been registered against the accused and others.
