Villager arrested for outraging woman’s modesty

NAKODAR 15 SEPTEMBER 

 The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.

Investigating Officer (IO)Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Lakhwindar Pal son of Tara Chand of Barra Salam village.

Harpreet Kaur, a resident of the same village, complained to the police the accused and his accomplices had assaulted and outraged her modesty and threatened her

IO said that a case under section 74 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 191(3) and 190(rioting and unlawful assembly) of the BNS was registered against the accused and others.
