Woman among six booked for assaulting woman

NAKODAR 1 SEPTEMBER 

The Mehat Pur police have booked six villagers, including a woman for assaulting a woman.

Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Baggo, Bhola, Pindar and Bittu son of Sadhu Singh residents of Singh Pur Bet village, Arsh Noor singh of the same village and brother-in-law of Baggo and a resident of Jalandhar.

Simaran daughter of Harbans Singh a resident of Singh Pur Bet village complained to the police that the accused assaulted her and ransacked house door and threatened her.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2),118(1)( voluntarily causing grievous hurt),333(house trespass after preparation for hurt ) ,126(wrongful restraint)351(2)(criminal intimidation),324(mischief) and 191(3) .109(rioting and unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar city police also booked 7 miscreants for assaulting Ranjit Singh a resident of Talwandi Sanghera village in Shahkot, said IO Rajindar Pal Singh
