Villager booked for assaulting watch man

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a village for assaulting a watchman.

Investigating Officer (IO) Paramjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Davindar Singh a resident of Littran village.

Kulbir Singh a resident of Pati Takhar Shankar village complained to the police that he is night watchman in a marriage palace in Shankar village and the accused barged into his room on August 21 very early in the morning, and assaulted him with a hand-hammer.

IO said a case under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 332(house trespass in order to commit an offence punishable with death) of the BNS has been registered against the accused
