Two women arrested for culpable homicide

NAKODAR 16 AUGUST 

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two women on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Station House Officer (SHO) Palwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Salwindaro alias Salwindar Kaur wife of Nasib Chand a resident of Uggi village, Sukhwindar Kayr alias Sukhi wife of Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi a resident of Mallian Kalan village and presently residing at Uggi village.

Daljit Singh a resident of Uggi village had complained to the police that the accused came to his house on June 12 morning and started using filthy language against him and assaulted him. His mother Baksho (65) came to rescue him, and the accused assaulted and forcibly pushed his mother, who fell and became unconscious and was rushed to the hospital, but she died on the way.

SHO said a case under section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
