Family trio arrested for assaulting co-villager

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a family trio on the charge of assaulting a co-villager woman.
Investigating officer (IO)Paramjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurmail Singh a resident of Chak Kalan village, his wife Manjit Kaur and son Gur Kamal Singh.
Harpreet Kaur wife of Narindar Jit Singh, a resident of the same village, has complained to the police that the accused locked her in a room and attacked her on July 10 and injured her.
IO said that a case under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 127 (2) (wrongful confinement), and 3 (5) committing crime with common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
