Three of family booked for outraging woman’s

The Mehat Pur police have booked three members of a family on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused have been identified as
Bimla Ranni alias Laado, wife of Indarjit a resident of Mohalla Khuram Pur; her son Gurpreet alias Sonu; and her daughter Manjit Kaur.
Paramjit Kaur, a resident of the same locality, complained to the police that the accused assaulted and tore her clothes, pulled her hair and threatened her
IO said that a case under section 74 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),298 (insulting religion of any class),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made, and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
