Mother son duo arrested for assaulting co-villager woman

NAKODAR 6 JULY 

The Nakodar City police have arrested a mother son duo on the charge of assaulting a co-villager woman.

Investigating officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sarabjit Kaur wife of Paramjit alias Pamma a resident of Malrri village and, her son Gurpreet alias Gori.

Sandeep Kaur a resident of the same village had

complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked her on May 14 and injured and threatened her with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2),126 (2) (wrongful restraint),(351(1) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
