Deepak Kumar Deepu elected Nurmahal NC chief

 NURMAHAL 22 JUNE 

Deepak Kumar alias Depu, who won as an Independent supported by Congress and joined APP, was elected president of the Nurmahal Nagar Council (NC) here today, while  BSP’s Kuldeep Kumar was elected vice president.

All thirteen newly elected councillors were sworn in today’s council meeting. Phillaur SDM Deepak Kumar conducted the proceedings. He said that elections were held by votes.  Nakodar MLA Indarjit Kaur Maan also attended the meeting.  BJP councillor Dinesh Kumar boycotted the meeting. Present was elected with 8 votes and vice president with four votes

AAP has won four seats, and Congress supported independents six, BSP 2 and BJP one in the 13-member House.
