NRI miscreant booked for extortion, criminal intimidation.

SHAHKOT 10 JUNE

The Shahkot police have booked an NRI miscreant on the charge of extortion and criminal intimidation.

Investigating Officer (IO) Angrej Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh Marok son of Iqbal Singh a resident of Partab Pura village in Phillaur subdivision and living in USA.

Manjinder Singh a resident of Malli Wal village complained to the police that the accused threatened to kill him and hired contract killers for this purpose

IO said a case under section 308(4) (putting a person in fear of death to commit extortion)351(,3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
