Villager arrested wife booked for selling illicit liquor.

NAKODAR 23 APRIL 

The Mehat Pur police have arrested a village and booked his wife on charges of selling and brewing illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer (IO) Amril Lal said that 19 bottles of illicit liquor and70 litters of lahann (raw liquor)  were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Kulwant Singh a resident of Khurla Pur village and his wife Ranno who managed to flee from the spot.

A case has been registered against the accused under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act.
