Retired police officer booked for causing death by negligence.

SHAHKOT  20 MARCH 

 The Shahkot police have booked a retired police officer on charges of causing death by negligence and rash driving.

Investigating officer (IO) Manjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Tirath Singh a retired police officer a resident of Shahkot.

Simran Deep Kaur, a resident of Salaichan village, complained to the police that the accused was driving his truck (PB-08-BU-0781) fast and negligently and crushed to death Lal Chand (90), a resident of Sekhe Wal village.

  Investigating Officer said that a case under sections 106 (causing death by negligence), 281(rash driving on a public road) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
