Couple    booked for assaulting co-villager

NURMAHAL 17 MARCH 

The Bilga police have booked a couple on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Ajay Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Harpal Singh, a resident of Mehsam Pur village, and his wife Sukhwindar Kaur.

Yash Pal, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused attacked him with weapons and seriously injured him, and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2) ,118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt),351(1) ,351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
