Two villagers arrested for selling /brewing illicit liquor

NAKODAR 30 NOVEMBER

 The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.

Investigating officer Amrik Lal said that the accused has been identified as Subash Singh a resident of Rai Pur Arain village and 65 bottles of hooch were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar Sadar police arrested Harwinder Singh of Sarihn village for brewing illicit liquor and recovered from him 1 bottle of hooch,40 kg Lahann (raw liquor) and utensils for brewing said IO Tirath Ram.
