Couple among four drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

The Nakodar City and Sadar police have arrested four drug peddlers, including a couple, on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.

City investigating officer (IO) Rup Singh said that 47 intoxicant tablets (loose)were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Manjit, son of Amar Chand, a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura, and his wife Neelam.

IO stated that a case has been registered under sections 22/ 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act against the accused.

The Nakodar Sadar police arrested drug peddlers Mangat Deep Singh, son of Dalveer Singh, with 21 intoxicant tablets, and Harpreet Singh, son of Raghbir Singh, a resident of Talwandi Bharo village, with 13 tablets, said IOs Kulwindar Singh and Jaspal Singh.
