Farmer booked for burning paddy stubble

SHAHKOT  3 NOVEMBER 

 The Shahkot police have booked a farmer on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.

Investigating Officer (IO) Amandeep Singh said that the accused has been identified as Darbara Singh, son of Sohann Singh a resident of Morhi Wal village under Lohian Khas police station.

IO said Tehsildar Shahkot has sent his report to the police that the accused had set fire to is his paddy stubble fields in Talwandi Butian village, and violated government orders in this regard, and polluted the atmosphere.

IO said a case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
