Shahkot villager booked for impersonation

SHAHKOT 15 OCTOBER 

The Shahkot police have booked a village on the charge of personation.

Investigating officer (IO) Angrej Singh said that the accused has been identified as Parveen Kumar son of Rajindar Pal, a resident of Pati Akal Pur Malsian village and presently living in Canada.

Ashok Kumar, a resident of the same locality, complained to the police that the accused procured a passport in his name.

IO said a case under section 419 (personation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
