Couple booked for assaulting co-villager

The Bilga police have booked a couple on the charge of assaulting a co-villager woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Jaswindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Chaman Lal son of Darshan Lal a resident of Aujla village and his wife Paramjit alias Pammi .
Kaushalaya , wife of Dev Raj , a resident of the same village, has complained to the police that the accused were discharging sewerage water of their house in foundations of her house and fought with her on this issue and assaulted her and seriously injured her.
IO said that a case under sections 115(2) 117(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the BNS were registered against the accused.
