Villager arrested or criminal trespass, assault

The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on charges of criminal trespass and assault.

Investigating officer (IO)Balveer Chand said that the accused has been identified as Gurmukh Singh son of Jeet Singh a resident of Ismail Pur village.

Jaswindar Singh a resident of the same village, had complained to the police that the accused were forcibly ploughing his 11 kanals of land on June 11, and when he stopped them, the accused attacked and seriously injured him.

IO said that a case under sections 329(3) (criminal trespass), 115(2), 118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 191(2) 190(rioting and unlaw assembly) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
