Five drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers on charge of selling poppy husk
Investigating Officer (IO)Kashmir Singh said that 9 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Simranjit Singh alias Jurri son of Parmindar Singh a resident of Umare Wal village and Satnam Singh alias Bittu son of Gurdeep Singh a resident of Bute Dian Chhana village
IO said a case under sections 15-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded their motorcycle on which they were travelling with the contraband.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested three drug peddlers Bhagat Veer Singh son of Gurjit Singh of Meera Pur village, Lovpreet alias Labbu son of Bikar Singh of Sharak Pur village and Gurwindar Singh son of Palwindar Singh of Chak Kalan village with 55 intoxicant tablets said IO Paramjit Singh .
The Lohian Khas police arrested drug peddler Mohan Grover son of Gulshan Kumar of Warra Budh Singh village with 47 intoxicant tablets said IO Manjit Ranni.
