Gangs of 20 miscreants booked for murder, firing

The Nakodar City police have booked two gangs of 20 miscreants on charges of murder and firing.

D .S .P Nakodar Sukhpal Singh and Station House Officer (SHO) Aman Saini said the accused shot dead Jugraj son of Palwindar Singh, a resident of Mehmu Wal Yusaf Pur village in Shahkot, during a fight between them

SHO said the accused has been identified as Harwindar Singh alias Ladoo, a resident of Rai Pur Arain village under Mehat Pur police station, Kamal of Mandiala village in Mehat Pur,Gopi of Mehun Wal village, Navdeep Singh a resident of Talwandi Bharo village, Manni alias Rifle a resident of Khun Khun village in Jalandhar, Balraj of Jahangir village, Lavjot alias Labhu of Jahangir village, Dilpreet alias Vishal, and Satwindar alias Satta, both residents of Kang Sahibu village and Gurwindar Guga a resident of Gohir village and their ten unidentified accomplices.

Kavita, the wife of the deceased, complained to the police that she had been living with her husband for the last two years at the Total Fitness Gym, Mehat Pur Road, Nakodar, where her husband was working as a cleaner and looking after other work.

She said in her complaint that there is a car service station in the Gym complexes, and Gopi of Mahunwal village, and Harwinder alias Laddu of Rai Pur village are running a service station.

Kavita said in her statement that she, along with her family, was in the house on June 18 eying when they heard a firing outside, and her husband hurriedly went to the main gate, and she followed.

She said that Harwindar Ladoo , Kamal and Gopi,-and their eight unidentified accompanies came out of the vehicles firing from their weapons, and from the other side, twelve accused came out of their vehicle and started firing to kill.

Kavita said one gunshot pierced her husband, killing him, adding that both sides used to visit the gym in connection with some disputes and fired

to kill.

SHO said a case under sections 103(murder), 191(3) (rioting being armed with deadly weapons  ), 190 (unlawful assembly) of the BNS and sections 25/27/54/59 /of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
