Villager booked for raping minor girl

NAKODAR 7 MARCH 

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charge of raping a minor girl.

The investigating officer (IO) and in-charge of Nakodar Women’s cell Inspector Sandeep Kuar said that the accused has been identified as Balu Rajput son of Ranna a resident of Pati Jai Chand Sahirh village.

The mother of the victim complained to the police that the accused kidnapped her minor daughter on the pretext of marriage on March 1 and took her to Himachal Pradesh and forcibly raped her.

IO said that a case under section 376(rape) 363,366(kidnapping) of the IPC and section 6 of the POCSO Act has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted naib him.
