Unidentified booked for insulting religious feelings

 The Nakodar City police have booked unidentified persons on charges of outraging religious feelings of any class.

Ajay Kumar a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar complained to the police that an unidentified accused tore a religious poster and photo of Shivji Maharaj in the Guru Teg Bahabar Nagar near a Piza shop on January 28.

 Investigating officer Rannjit Singh said that a case under section 295 (destroying, damaging, or defiling a place of worship or sacred object with intent to insult the religion of any class of personsof the Indian Penal Code has been registered against unidentified criminals.
