Farmer booked for burning paddy stubble

NAKODAR  4 NOVEMBER

 The Mehat Pur police have booked a farmer on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.

Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Amarjit, son of Harnam Singh a resident of Vehran village.

IO said area patwari has sent his report to the police that the accused was cultivating land on rent basis in the village and had set fire to is his paddy stubble fields and violated government orders in this regard, and polluted the atmosphere.

IO said a case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
