Youth booked for kidnapping minor girl

NAKODAR 30 OCTOBER 

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor girl.

Investigating Officer (IO)Buta Ram said that the accused has been identified as Anmol alias Murli, son of Nikki Halwai, a resident of Uggi village.

The mother of the victim, a resident of Rahim Pur village, complained to the police that the accused kidnapped her minor daughter on the pretext of marriage.

IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping) and 87 (kidnapping, abducting to murder or ransom) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
