Villager booked for assaulting co-villager 

NAKODAR 30 OCTOBER 

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Jiwan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Ramesh Lal alias Meshaa, resident of Bhodi Pur village.

Narindar Kunmar a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on September 2 afternoon and assaulted and damaged his motorcycle and threatened him.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2) and 118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) 126 (wrongful restraint) 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 324 (2) (mischief) of the BNS has registered against the accused.
