Woman among four drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

SHAHKOT/ NAKODAR /NURMAHAL,  19 OCTOBER 

The Shahkot police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin in the area.

Investigating Officer (IO) Amandeep Singh said that 7.28 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Balvir Singh alias Nikka son of Jeet Singh a resident of Pati Akal Pur, Malsian village

IO stated that a case under sections21// 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar Sadar police arrested two drug peddlers, Rannjodh Singh, son of Paramjit Singh of Pati Ramki Jandiala village in Jalandhar and Harpreet Singh son of Harjindar Singh of Littaran village, with 28(15+13) intoxicant tablets, said IOs Kulwindar Singh and Buta Ram.

The Bilga police arrested a woman drug peddler, Soma Bai, wife of Sukhdev Singh of Burj Hassan village, with 55 intoxicant tablets, said IO Govindar Singh.
