Three of family booked for destroying paddy crop.

The Lohian Khas police have booked three members of a family on charges of destroying paddy crop.

Investigating Officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Balwindar Singh son of Chattar Pal Singh a resident of Samail Pur village his son Chanann Singh; and grandson Rannjit Singh.

Jaswindar Singh a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused sprayed a dangerous pesticide on his ripened paddy crop and when he questioned the accused assaulted him.

IO said the police also received a report from the agricultural department and registered a case under sections 329(3) (criminal trespass), 324(4) (mischief) and 3 (5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS against the accused.
