Nakodar villager arrested for outraging woman’s modesty

The Mehat Pur police arrested a Nakodar villager on charges of outraging a woman’s
Investigating officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Gurjit Singh alias Mani Lambarr of Nur Pur Chatha village under Nakodar Sadar
The victim had complained to the police that the accused and his accomplices barged into her house and assaulted and torn her clothes, ransacked house and threatened her
IO said that a case under sections 74 (criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 333(house trespass after preparation for hurt and assault) 351(2) (criminal intimidation) 324 (4) (mischief) 191 (3) and 190(rioting and unlawful assembly) of the BNS was registered against the accused and others .
