Finance company employee arrested for cheating, breach of trust

NAKODAR 19 SEPTEMBER 

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested an employee of a finance company for cheating and breach of trust.

Station House Officer (SHO) Palwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Arwindar Singh, son of Ram Lubhaya a resident of Chuharr village.

SHO said that the accused has reported to his company’s (CMS Info System Pvt Ltd) senior executing officer, Rahul Arora, a resident of Ajit Nagar Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, that the unidentified accused has snatched Rs 3.16,599 of company amount at the point of a sharp-edged weapon on September 16 late evening.

SHO said that the accused himself embezzled money on the pretext of snatching and confessed his crime during interrogation  that he needed money to pay the instalment of his personal car.

SHO said that sections 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 316(2) (4) (criminal breach of trust by servant), and 217(false information) of the BNS have been added in FIR no. 254, which was registered for robbery.
