Woman among four rug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

The Shahkot police have arrested two drug peddlers, including a woman, on charges of selling intoxicant tablets.

 Investigating officer (IO) Parjindar Kaur said that 107 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Nirmala Ranni, wife of Niranjan Singh, a resident of Rame village, and Punit Gupta, son of Rakesh Kumar of Pati Khuram Pur Malsian village.

IO said that cases under sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar sadar police arrested two drug peddlers, Hardial son of Rup Lal and Jasveer Singh son of Balwindar Singh, residents of Gohir village, with 38 intoxicant tablets, said IO Buta Ram
