Ludhiana miscreant arrested for drinking liquor in Gurdwara

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a Ludhiana miscrean on the charge of drinking in a Gurdwara.

 

Investigating Officer (IO) Paramjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Sonu son of Sukhwindar Singh, a resident of Shahbaj Pur village under Rai Kot police station in Ludhiana

 

Member Gurdwara Managing Committee, Gurra village, had complained to the police that the accused and their accomplices had drunk liquor in the Granthi’s room inside the Gurdwara building on July 5 and breached decorum, and outraged the religious feelings of residents

 

IO said a case under section 298(injuring or defiling a place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class) of the BNS was registered against the accused and his accomplices were arrested earlier
