Nine booked for assaulting village

Nakodar 2 September 

The Mehat Pur police have booked nine villagers for assaulting a villager.

Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused have been identified as Ansh veer, Arsh, Manpreet ,Sajan Preet ,Sunil,Tej Pal residents of Khurla Pur village and Sanjiv,Jashan and Noni resident of Singh Pur village.

Jaswindar Pal Singh, a resident of Singh Pur village, complained to the police that the barged into his house, attacked and injured him seriously, and threatened him with dire consequences

IO said that a case under sections 115(2),118(1) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt),333(house trespass after preparation for hurt) ,351(2) (criminal intimidation),324(mischief) and 191(3) .109(rioting and unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
