Husband booked in dowry harassment case

NAKODAR 24 AUGUST 

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked Kulwindar Singh son of Ajit Singh a resident of SGM Nagar Farida Bad, Haryana, in a dowry harassment case.

Manjit Kaur, daughter of Lachhman Singh a resident of Chak Mugllanni village had filed a complaint with the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband law had been harassing her and demanding more dowry since her marriage.

Investigating Officer Paramjit Singh said a case under section 85 (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the BNS has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
